Winter Walk the Talk: Turning Points

7 December 2012 (Friday afternoon 13-16)

Spring College warmly welcomes you to its very first event: a Winter Walk with Spring College founders Li An Phoa, Sarah Denie, and storyteller Tim ‘Mac’ Macartney. While we are moving into the end phase of Autumn, slowly turning towards Winter, this afternoon is also a celebration of the fact that Spring is in the Air.

Tim ‘Mac’ Macartney is founder of Embercombe, an educational community who’s mission is to touch hearts, stimulate minds and inspire committed action for a truly sustainable world. Mac speaks to the necessity for each of us to gather our courage, step out of the shadows and become the leaders we have been waiting for. Mac has a unique ability to move, inspire, and challenge many different audiences, who he invites to ‘Speak to us of what you Love’. He is the author of  ‘Finding Earth, Finding Soul – the invisible path to authentic leadership’. His TED talk reaches audiences around the world. During the Winter Walk, he will share his stories about radical transition and turning points.

Are you:

… curious and seeking to make a change you wish to see in the world

… exploring the options; What, how, when, with who……?

… always entrepreneurial, looking to start something new or change what you are doing?

… a teacher who wants to inspire students to learn and live their full potential?

… a student, an elder, a parent, a person who loves to speak and to listen, to connect with people, the earth?

The programme of the afternoon consists of a warm, organic lunch, a walk to remember, and a Circle of Stories about Turning Points and Transitions in our lives. We close the afternoon by transitioning into the evening with a campfire chat for those who wish to linger.
